Caroline Sabin is Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at University College London (UCL). She has been the Director of the NIHR HPRU in Blood Borne and Sexually Transmitted Infections since the initial HPRUs were created in 2014.  Since then, she has worked jointly with UKHSA colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders to develop and deliver a research programme that supports UKHSA’s health protection needs. Through membership of national STI/BBV advisory groups, she has influenced UK health protection policy. Her research has contributed to UKHSA’s core business of protecting the community against health threats, with findings shared with key stakeholders, and translated into policy and guidelines.
