Understanding sexual health needs and barriers to access for inclusion health populations

Theme A

People from inclusion health populations (including those experiencing homelessness, those who use drugs and those with experience of incarceration) experience extreme health inequities, and are often missed by current models of sexual healthcare, resulting in onward transmission and long-term health consequences.

We will deliver the adapted and co-designed NATSAL survey for inclusion health populations in London and Greater Manchester to service users of the two outreach services and third sector organisations for inclusion health populations. Anonymised survey questions will include information about healthcare access, sexual health needs (including contraception), and barriers to accessing care. Quantitative data on self-reported sexual health needs, barriers to care and access to services will be compared to data from the wider NATSAL survey.
