Inclusive sexual health service (SHS) for trans and gender diverse people
The trans and/or gender diverse (T/GD) population experience significant health disparities across multiple domains including sexual health. T/GD individuals may face multiple personal, social, economic, institutional and structural barriers when accessing SHS. However, the best means through which to improve the acceptability, use of, and experiences in, SHS (including STI/blood-borne viruses [BBV] testing) for this population remains understudied.
We aim to inform the development of interventions and implementation strategies to enhance equitable access to SHS for T/GD people. The development of acceptable care pathways will inform recommendations for clinical care, policy development, and priorities for commissioning.
