Hunter is the head of the Health Economics Analysis and Research methods Team (HEART) at UCL.

Rachael Maree Hunter is the head of the Health Economics Analysis and Research methods Team (HEART), who provide advice and support on the health economics component of clinical trials across UCL, including Priment Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and the Comprehensive CTU. She is also the Co-Director of the Health Economics Policy Lab (HEPL), a new initiative to improve the visibility and collaboration of health economics at UCL. She's previously worked as a performance manager at South London and Maudsley Mental Health Trust, and at Offender Health, Department of Health providing policy, strategic business and health economic advice to a number of government departments. As a member of the Prison Drug Treatment Strategy Review Group she provided advice of on the health economics and coordinated a research project examining service user views on prison drug treatment.
