Alix Fox joined the NIHR HPRU as a PhD researcher following a twenty-year career in magazine journalism and broadcasting, specialising in matters of sexual culture and wellbeing. A regular contributor to The Guardian, she's worked as a script consultant on Netflix series ’Sex Education’, and hosted shows for platforms including BBC Radio 1, Channel 4, ITV and Audible. Alix has served as a public spokesperson for brands and organisations such as Durex, TENGA, and Superdrug, in addition to consulting on both commercial and charitable projects. Her research focuses on supporting the safe use of HIV Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) through an innovative co-created digital platform.
