Theme A: Understanding risk and risk reduction for STIs and BBVs
University College London
Tyrone is a PhD student at University College London and is based in the Centre for Population Research in Sexual Health and HIV, part of the Institute for Global Health. Tyrone is in his final year of a 4-year MRC Doctoral Training Programme, and began work on his main project in September 2017.
His research interests include sexual behaviour, sexual identity, and HIV and STI risk and prevention among men who have sex with men (MSM).
The aim of his project is to quantify the sexual behaviour and sexual health of heterosexual-identifying MSM, to understand how they consider the HIV and STI risk of the sex they have, and to better understand their sexual health needs, to inform campaigns and interventions aimed at improving their sexual health.
