Steering Committee
University College London
Dr Lorencatto is a behavioural scientist and health services researcher, currently working as the Research Lead at the UCL Centre for Behaviour Change. She is a mixed methods researcher with extensive experience in applying behavioural science theories and frameworks to investigate the individual, socio-cultural and environmental factors influencing behaviours, as a basis for co-designing theory and evidence-based behaviour change interventions. Her research covers a broad range of behavioural areas related to health and sustainability (e.g. smoking, self-management in chronic illness, reducing plastic waste). The majority of her work focuses on implementation science: understanding the barriers and enablers to implementing change in healthcare and designing interventions to support implementation and improve quality of care. Dr Lorencatto is the behavioural science lead on a number of multidisciplinary, international projects related on topics such as maternal health, infection prevention control, antimicrobial resistance, diabetes and transfusion medicine. She also has a specialist methodological interest in process evaluations of complex interventions, conducted alongside trials.
