Theme A: Understanding risk and risk reduction for STIs and BBVs

Josina Calliste is a PhD student in Infection & Population Health at University College London (UCL). She has worked in and researched sexual health issues for almost 10 years. Her research interests relate to health inequalities and sexual health, with particular focus on ethnic minority groups, creative uses of qualitative research methods and public engagement in research. Josina’s PhD research links with broader work under Theme A relating to at-risk populations. Her PhD project is a qualitative study based in England which focuses on the contextual drivers behind young Black Caribbean women’s sexual health outcomes.
