Theme B: Reducing the burden of undiagnosed STIs and BBVs

Dr Carter is currently a GP trainee having studied medicine at University College London where she also completed a BSc in the History of Medicine. She is currently in her final year of training and working at an inner city GP practice. She has an interest in refugee health and infectious disease prevention, diagnosis and management in primary care.
She is currently involved in research into the diagnosis of malaria in primary care, barriers to STI testing and alcoholic liver disease and will be looking to pursue a combined academic and clinical career following completion of her GP training.
